Senior Photography

Whether studio (inside with a background) or environmental (outside at a favorite location), a portrait session is a controlled setting where we will create photos of you looking at the camera. Most of the time, there will be some flashes and lighting equipment as well. Despite the more controlled nature of this session, our portrait sessions are designed to capture who you are, not just what you look like.

Our portrait sessions are not the "smile at the camera" type of photos you may be used to—and definitely not the school portraits you've done in the past. Our sessions are designed to be fun, relaxing, and easy. Your smiles will be genuine and poses will be natural. On the topic of posing, rather than giving you stiff poses to stand in, we give you activities and movements that will naturally place you in the best posture for the photo. Everything we do is customized and unique to you.

Don’t go shopping for a new wardrobe… unless you want to, of course! Sometimes new clothes can be distracting if you’re not familiar with them. We recommend wearing clothes you already have that you’re comfortable in. You don’t have to dress up unless you want to.

Not unless you want to! Just do what you would normally do. We want people to see you, not your makeup or accessories.

If you decide to do your hair and makeup, a professional can make the day more fun, which can enhance the experience. We can refer you to someone if you’re interested.

If you have a dramatic vision for elaborate makeup or high-fashion looks, then go all out! We want to make your dream a reality.

We want to make sure you’re comfortable and relaxed. Our past clients have brought friends and family to interact with. You can also bring items that reflect who you are, like a musical instrument, a hobby, or a book. A Spotify playlist of your favorite songs can also make your session more comfortable and fun.

That's right! You don't even have to look at the camera. Just find something you love to do with your favorite people, and let's do that.

You aren't as boring as you think! If you have fun with your friends and family, it won’t be boring.

Wear what you'd wear as if it were a normal day, with no photographer with you. The whole point is to capture what your life is like, so just be you, wardrobe and all.
